Official comment of the EHU regarding the publication by rfrm.io

European Humanities University (EHU) issues a comment on the appearance of publication in the rfrm.io portal, dedicated to the former EHU Rector Prof. David Pollick.

Narration line of the article is composed of one “perhaps” and three “maybe’s”, what is a clear indication of the level of author’s statements. Jefferson County (Colorado) public records contain open data, evidencing Prof. Pollick’s purchase of the land in October 2008 and finishing the construction of the house throughout 2011. Given that Prof. Pollick was employed by EHU only in December 2013, a link between Prof. Pollick’s real estate and the University remains an object of author’s dream only.

In March 2017 an overwhelming audit reports of EHU for the period 2007-2016, conducted by the Grant Thornton, were presented. In May 2016 Washington, DC-based Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP conducted an independent legal expertise of the latest version of the Deloitte Lithuania report. Legal memorandum, available at EHU’s web, highlights numerous factual and descriptive mistakes, present in the Deloitte Lithuania report.

University community regretfully states that in March 2012 author of the publication was dismissed from EHU students due to academic failure. Utilizing argumentative stylistics of the author, one could, perhaps, claim that consequences of the the academic failure are still evident in author’s annual efforts at attracting attention of the Belarusian media to his persona.

In AY 2017/18 EHU celebrates its 25th anniversary. During decades of operations, we faced a number of ill-founded accusations, including from the Belarusian authorities, resulting in EHU’s forced closure of operations. Nevertheless during these 25 years of successful operations over 2500 Belarusians graduated from EHU study programs in humanities and social sciences, and the University gained an international recognition.
